Seal CoatingCoal tar or asphalt emulsion sealcoating is an inexpensive means of preserving and beautifing asphalt pavements. We recommend new asphalt be sealed with in the first year and every 2-3 years thereafter. Sealcoating helps prevent small cracks from growing into larger ones. It provides a smooth uniform surface which is easier to clean, plow and looks good. Most sealers area resistant to oil and gasoline and help the line striping last longer. Latex modifiers and silica sand is added to help sealcoating last and extend the useful life of the pavement. |
